Blue Mango Foods was founded in 2007 by Constantino Lallo and Shelley Stevens, a formidable husband and wife team with over fifty years of restaurant and food service experience. In 1998 the Blue Mango Veggie Burger was created and debuted at the couple’s former restaurant, Blue Mango Café. The great demand for a deliciously different vegetarian option inspired the couple to create this critically acclaimed, best-seller.
The Blue Mango Veggie Burger (now tastier than ever!) was reborn in the summer of 2007 and is once again enjoying much local success! The veggie burgers are, as they always have been, made by hand in Portland, Maine, where the couple resides with their son Julius.
